We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Gilroy Gardens. For the price of a regular full-priced admission, we got the whole season for free (with the Lotsa Card), and we plan on taking advantage of it this summer. Our 3 yo daughter loves the rides here, and we can easily spend 3-4 hours at the park. There are lots of food options, and the prices are pretty reasonable, compared to other amusement parks. Older kids may be bored, but this is the perfect amusement park for toddlers.

Gilroy Gardens is a fun amusement park for younger kids to go to in the Bay area. It is well-maintained with a variety of rides as well as water play areas, gardens and animals. We went during the week and it was very empty with no lines for most things.

This place is heaven on earth for young toddlers... especially the mature thrill-seeking kids who haven't hit 36" yet! Even on a quiet day with almost no lines we were barely able to get to all the rides. Also, despite being in Gilroy, there are so many shade trees, and so many water features, that you won't feel the 80F dry heat. You can't bring food into the park but maybe you can bring in empty water containers. They don't seem to search stroller pockets. With repeat visits, there's lots more to do, including many educational exhibits.
