The Exploratorium with its hands-on science exhibits was founded by Dr. Frank Oppenheimer in 1969. It's located in the Palace of Fine Arts building at 3601 Lyon Street, in the Marina District. See more at Discover Northern California: http://tinyurl.com/cf63wm

Its like going to a school science fair but on steroids. 100's of hands on exhibits. my 4 & 8 yr old both had a great time & learned a ton. cafe large but not impressive
