We love going to Crissy Field beach on those special days when the weather is warm (over 75 degrees) and beautiful. There are shallow wading pool areas that are formed by the currents and sand that make it perfectly fun and safe for children to splash around in. Plus, you get a stunning view of the Golden Gate Bridge while you're enjoying some fun in the sun. See more at bigbluetrunk: http://bit.ly/g7eK7U

Great place for dogs and kids to run around together. Can be a little stressful.

The three-mile paved pathway at Crissy Field runs from Aquatic Park to Fort Point. It's perfect for a stroller walk with spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge and there's a small cafe at the bridge end for tea, coffee, cocoa and treats. Read more at Family Travel Forum: http://bit.ly/c0utcV

Great outdoor area. Old landing strip turned into beautiful parks with marshlands. Runners, bike ridings, and beach goers old and young alike gather to these grassy fields, beaches and trails on sunny days. Beautiful views of the GG bridge, Angel Island, Alcatraz, the city skyline and the East Bay.
